Chapter 3:

The Real Story Begins

Yumis POV

I wonder whats going to happen at the party today I thought as I was going to Ulrichs room. And when I knocked nobody answered so I was about to turn around when remembered where Ulrich would always put spare key so I looked under the mat and took out a piece of carpet and there it was the key.

Hes going to be surprised when he sees me in his room I said. But as I looked around Ulrichs room all I saw was a carpet and the windows had cardboard over them to the point that no light got in. Then I saw no bed just a closet, desk and rug nothing more. Then I took a look in the closet and book fell out and then I looked to see where it came from but stopped midway to see something black and huge a coffin.

Why does Ulrich have a coffin and why is his room so bare and then I looked down to see the words on the book that fell had the label Ulrichs Journal. Then I picked it up and went to the first page.

Entry No. 1

Im making a journal because I dont want people to never know of the world that lurks in the shadows. Today I was on my motorcycle when I passed an abandoned inn and by either my stupidity or by instinct I went in. Then I saw a man was also in here and he glared at me then lunged at me. No matter how hard I tried I just kept getting knocked down. But then people busted in and then the man stopped and saved me from one of them and took me to the attic and said.

Im Jeremiah Slayer a vampire and the reason why I lunged at you was because I wanted to test your fighting ability and it was great for a human so if you want to live you must become a vampire Mr. Slayer said.

No I want to keep my humanity I said.

Okay then Ill make you a half-vampire. If you want to live I puzzled what he said. Seeing as I dont have a place among humans could I rebuild my life as a half-vampire? There was only one thing I needed to know.

When a vampire feeds does he need to kill? And can I go out in daylight and not be killed as a half-vampire?

No because its against vampire law and yes you can go out in broad daylight anytime you want Mr. Slayer said.

Then yes I said. Mr. Slayer nodded and used his nails to open a vein sucked a little blood then said.

Ah good blood then he began to suck more blood and I slowly felt my nails grow and then he spit on the wound and it started to heal.

You are now a half-vampire Mr. Slayer said. He then gave me a sword and we went downstairs and fought. I was surprised by my power as we easily defeated them.

Well it looks like its time for us to go Mr. Slayer said as we walked away from the building. I have a lot to teach you in so little time.

So from now on I have a journal so my adventures will not ever be forgotten.

I was so astonished by what I just read mainly because of the fact that the man I love was a half-vampire. Then I couldnt help myself I went to the last entry.

Entry No. 71

So I passed the tests and now Im a Vampire Prince and at the worst possible time because of the war. My first assignment is to go to France and see if anything is out of the ordinary. I would also like to see my old friends and as my final gift to them while Im there I will help them defeat Xana. They probably hate me but Im still going to help but Im not going to forget my main objective. Also Ill get to see the one I-. Oh no Mr. Slayer coming to make me pack.

I ran out the room as soon as I read that crying because of the fact that it was because of us, he became this for us. I felt so guilty for basically taking away half of his humanity.
